About Theresa

My life thus far has been a series of obsessions, hyper-fixations, and creative analyses. I live the Queer experience of projecting onto characters, and the Artist experience of needing to know the entire creative process of the media we consume. I want to tell the kinds of stories that I fell in love with as a kid, and the ones that didn't exist.

Born to musician parents, I was raised, grass-fed, and home-educated in Bishop's Mills, Ontario, with my four older brothers. I'm an empath, a double Sagittarius and a Cancer moon, so I always make sure that everybody is having fun & hydrated.

Since I got my first camera I've documented everything on video, itching to put it together with music like they do in the special features on my favourite DVDs. There's a distinct sense of liberation that comes with going behind-the-scenes, whether it be in a photo book for your coffee table, or a full-length documentary. I've got an unbreakable smile on my face when I watch the cast of Godspell out-of-costume rehearsing the dance numbers I've seen hundreds of times, or Jason Isaacs' Captain Hook walk around set with an umbrella, interviewing the mermaids in the makeup trailer. I am rendered useless reading about the writers of Arcane fighting to make television history. I scream and cancel my plans when I find out there's a ten-hour docuseries on a movie I watched once sixteen years ago, with an entire episode just about the orchestra.

There are so many wizards behind the curtain. That's my idea of magic.
